Cattle Egret at St Neots

Amazingly both a Cattle Egret and a Great White Egret have been present around the town of St Neots in Cambridgeshire for the past few days, both would be new species for Bedfordshire which is only a stones throw away in the case of the case of the Cattle Egret! I didnt manage to photograph the Great White as it was almost dark when it came in to roost at Paxton Nature Reserve.

The most expensive piece of slate in Cambs !

This was removed from Norman, the 6 month old Border Collie's stomach during the early hours of Wednesday morning during emergency surgery.

He is now recovering at home and the slate.. well, its cost us at least £800, so far...

Thanks to the Julia Bonness emergency vets, who said Norman was a model patient, mmm...

The match v Coventry lasted all of 25 minutes today and in the nearly 30 years of watching Wednesday I have never previously been to a match that was abandoned !

The score was 0-0 and the game will be replayed at some point.
