Buckton summer

A distant view of the 'cliff top dell' at Buckton , situated only 250m inland of the cliff edge and offering the best first arrival cover for incoming migrants.

A female/juv Merlin perched near the village pond August 16th.

So far we have ringed 50 juvenile Tree Sparrows at Buckton this year - all within 20 nest boxes purchased with a kind donation from Yorkshire Birding - thank you.
