After trawling laybys and countrylane dump locations we finally had enough rubber for hot tyre action ! The plan ? - to get Common Terns to nest within gravel filled tyres, saving lots of future management work on the island.
Will it work? - no idea and only time will tell ! By only half-filling the tyres you get the double bonus of providing a chick shelter under the tyre rim. Remember you saw it here first !
