Spent Sunday morning at Lakenheath as a tip off suggested the F22 Raptors were going to be flying. Four Raptors based in Alaska arrived at the base a couple of weeks ago and have been taking part in several UK airshows and flying sorties with the F15 Eagles. I wasnt dissapointed with two flying a quick sortie probably to test external fuel tanks before landing and vanishing again. A very distinctive aircraft !
Later in the day in East Yorkshire I had the pleasure of ringing a brood of four Marsh Harriers.
